A response to Radio Kootwijk’s Building ‘A’ and the space it inhabits

This work has been made in response to Building A, the former broadcasting station in Radio Kootwijk, the Netherlands, which transmitted to the Dutch East Indies in the 1920s. Due to the fire hazard from the transmitters overheating, it was built in concrete, which was a little known building material at the time. These pieces explore the complexities of and contrasts between surface, material, colour and light.
